Mar Charles Grange, global cotton manager and Ms Tong Lin, General Manager of Bayer Crop Sciences (BCS) visited Biocentury on the 6th December 2010 to exchange bilateral progresses and optential areas of collaboration with Biocentury CEO Dr YS Yang, Vice President Dr John Liu and Biotech Research Director Dr HZ Cui. BCS is one of the global biotech leading companies and the 2nd largest cotton seed provide of the wolrd with well known brands such as FiverMax, Stoneville and Surpass, while Biocentury is the largest cotton seed company in China with in depth knowledge and experience in cotton R&D, marketing & sales, IP protection and tech fee collection. Both parties are eager to find a suitable model of collaboration to speed up the BCS's herbicide resistance traits of cotton in China. BCS's visit is a follow up of Dr JohnLiu's visit to BCS's Asian Pacific HQ in August. BCS and Biocentury agreed to sign a CDA agreement after the meeting and will meet again in January 2011 for detailed terms and conditions.
